Dean Clarke
Midfielder


Dean re-joined Merthyr in the summer of 2007 for his third spell at the club. Originally with his home town club Hereford United, Dean joined Merthyr at just 21 from then Southern League outfit Cheltenham Town. Left Merthyr for a spell at Newport County before returning to be Club Captain at Merthyr when the club won the Southern League Western Division title. Made the move to Bath to join former Merthyr Manager John Relish but, after helping The Romans gain promotion to the Conference South Dean returned to Merthyr once again in the summer of 2007 and last season scooped the Player of year trophy.
Ryan Dorrian
Midfielder


Another player who is a product of the Newport County youth policy, Ryan has joined Merthyr in the summer for the third time in his career. Previously successful spells at Penydarren Park which saw Ryan play a big part in the club lifting the Southern League Western Division title has been entwined with spells at Mangotsfield, Cinderford and Newport YMCA.
Ceri Morgan
Midfielder

Captained The Martyrs Youth side last season, winning both The British Gas Business League Youth Challenge Cup and The Welsh League Challenge Cup. Originally at Swansea City, Ceri joined Merthyr and impressed last season.
Tarik Khalil
Midfielder


Tariq re-joined Merthyr in the summer of 2009 after recovering from a serious leg injury. Tariq joined his home town club Cardiff City as a youngster and enjoyed a short but successful spell at Merthyr following his release. He then moved on to Conference South club Dorchester Town before suffering a serious injury that has seen him sit out the last 12 months.
Dan Marshall
Midfielder

Melton Mowbray born Dan joined Merthyr in the summer of 2009 after impressing during pre-season. Spent last season with Barry Town in the Welsh League.
Matthew Trotman
Midfielder


Another Summer signing after impressing during pre-season. Was with University side UWIC in Cardiff last season.
Michael Jones
Midfielder/Striker


A young striker who can also play in Midfield joined Merthyr from Welsh League outfit Cambrian in the summer of 2007. Merthyr beat off attempts by a number of League of Wales clubs to capture Michaels signature, and has now become an integral member of the squad.
Thomas Harris
Midfielder/Striker


The Treharris based player is a product of the Academy and was last season's under 19s Player of the Year and under 19s top goalscorer. Tom is a versatile player who is comfortable in any position.
Cortez Belle
Defender/Striker

Cortez joined Merthyr for the second time in his career during the summer of 2009 after enjoying a very successful spell at the club when he played a major role in the club lifting the Southern League Western Division Championship. After two prolific seasons as a striker at Merthyr Cortez joined Football League outfit Chester City before having spells at Halifax Town and Northwich Victoria during which time he also played as a central defender. Upon returning to South Wales Cortez has played for Newport County, Chippenham Town and Newport YMCA.
Scott Armitage
Striker


Scott is a pacy young striker who has joined Merthyr on loan for an initial three month period from Conference South neighbours Newport County where he is highly rated.
Marcus Griffiths
Striker

Pacy Striker who is yet another product of The Martyrs successful youth squad of the past two seasons. Marcus scored a number of important goals for The Martyrs last Season after scoring on his debut at Northwood in April 2007. Marcus Captained Wales Schools Under 18.
Luke Pearson
Full Back/Wing Back


Luke joined the under 18s in 2008 from Welsh Premier League side Port Talbot Town and immediately impressed. Made his first team debut in 2008/09 Southern League Cup, before eventually rejoining Port Talbot in Jan 2009. Returned to the club in the summer of 2009. Luke is a lively and skillful attacking full back.
